Billing

View your current plan, manage your subscription, and keep payment info up to date.

Billing in Scrollmark is intentionally hands-off — you pick a plan, you pay monthly or yearly, and the rest of the product stays out of the way. This page walks through the small number of things you actually need to do inside the billing section.

Who can see this page?

You need the view_billing permission to open the Billing page, and manage_billing to change anything. In practice, that means Owner. If you click Settings → Billing and see a "contact your administrator" message, that's why.

Where billing lives

Under the organization sidebar: Settings → Billing. If your org was created on or after October 3, 2024, you may not see the Billing item at all — in that case, contact your Scrollmark rep or email support to change your plan.

What you'll see

The Billing page has one card showing Your Billing. Inside it:

  • Current plan name — whatever plan your org is on
  • A Current Plan pill if the subscription is active (red Inactive Plan if not)
  • The price per billing period (monthly or yearly)
  • A checklist of the features included in your plan
  • Buttons to Change Plan or Cancel Subscription

If your subscription is inactive or was never set up, you'll see "You are not subscribed to any plan" with a View Plans button that jumps you to the pricing page.

Changing your plan

Open Settings → Billing

You need Owner for the buttons below to appear.

Click Change Plan

For most orgs, this opens the Stripe customer portal in a new tab, where you can upgrade, downgrade, or change your billing period.

Pick the new plan in Stripe

Confirm the change. Your new plan takes effect according to Stripe's proration rules — Scrollmark's features update as soon as the subscription status flips.

Shopify-provisioned accounts

If your org was created through the Shopify app, Change Plan sends you to an in-Scrollmark pricing page instead of Stripe, because Shopify handles the billing rails. The flow is the same: pick a plan, confirm, wait a minute for the status to update.

Updating payment method or billing email

Click Change Plan or Cancel Subscription

Either button opens the Stripe customer portal (non-Shopify orgs).

Use the portal to update your card

From the portal, you can add a new card, remove old ones, change the billing email, and download invoices.

Close the portal

Changes apply immediately on Stripe's side. Scrollmark will reflect any status change (e.g. past-due → active) on the next page load.

Downloading invoices

Invoices live in the Stripe customer portal, not in Scrollmark itself. To get them:

  1. Settings → Billing → Change Plan (this opens the portal)
  2. In the portal, scroll down to the Invoice history section
  3. Download the ones you need as PDF

Your finance team can be added as a billing contact on Stripe directly — they don't need a Scrollmark seat just to pull invoices.

Cancelling

Cancelling stops data collection

When your subscription ends, Scrollmark stops pulling new data from your connected social accounts and integrations. Historical data is preserved, but live journeys and inbox polling pause. If you just need to pause for a month, talk to support instead of cancelling.

Open Settings → Billing

Owner-only, as above.

Click Cancel Subscription

This opens the Stripe portal's cancellation flow. Stripe will ask you to confirm and show you when access ends (typically the end of your current billing period).

Export what you need first

Before the period ends, pull any reports, exports, or creative libraries you want to keep. See Exporting analytics for how.

Common questions

Does adding an integration cost extra? The off-the-shelf integrations listed under Integrations are included in your plan. A small number of premium features may require a plan upgrade — if that's the case, you'll see a lock icon on the feature itself.

Who do I contact for custom contracts, SSO, or enterprise pricing? Email your account manager, or reach out at support@scrollmark.com. The self-serve Billing page is for standard plans only.
