Invite your team
Add teammates to your Scrollmark organization and pick the right role for each.
Scrollmark is built to be used by more than one person. The sooner you get your team in, the sooner you stop being the bottleneck. This page walks through adding a teammate, picking their role, and what to do if an invite never arrives.
Where to invite people
Open Settings
Top-right of any page → click the gear icon (Settings). Or just
visit app.scrollmark.com/settings.
Go to your organization
Settings is split into Profile and Organization. Pick Organization — this is where tenant-wide settings live.
Open People
Inside Organization, click People in the left nav. You'll see a list of current members with their name, email, and role.
Click Add Member
Top-right of the People section. A modal opens with an email field and a role dropdown.
Enter email and pick a role
Type the teammate's email address and choose a role from the dropdown. The default role is Author — good for most operators.
Send the invite
Click Invite Member. Scrollmark emails the invite and the teammate shows up under Pending Invites until they accept.
Roles at a glance
Scrollmark roles gate what actions someone can take. Available roles vary by plan and tenant configuration, but the common ones you'll see are:
| Role | Typical use | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Account owner, ops lead | Full access, including billing and people |
| Author | Day-to-day operators | Create and edit journeys, reply in inbox, view analytics |
| Reviewer | QA and oversight | Approve drafted replies, read-only on journey config |
| Analyst | Reporting, measurement | View analytics and generate reports, no inbox access |
Roles are tenant-specific
Scrollmark is multi-tenant — the same user can belong to multiple organizations with different roles in each. If a teammate works across brands, invite them into each organization separately.
Changing someone's role later
From the People page, every row has a role dropdown. Click it, pick a new role, and the change is live instantly — no re-login required on the teammate's end.
Resending and revoking invites
The Pending Invites section of the Add Member modal lists every invite that hasn't been accepted yet. Each row has two icons on the right:
- Plus icon — resend the invite email
- Trash icon — delete the invite entirely
Use resend if a teammate says they never got the email (check spam first). Use delete if you invited the wrong address or the person no longer needs access.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Add Member" button is greyed out | You don't have manage_user_access permission | Ask an Admin in your org to invite them, or to promote you |
| Invite email never arrives | Landed in spam, or email typo | Resend from the Pending Invites list, or delete and re-invite with the correct address |
| Teammate accepts but sees no data | Role is too restrictive, or platform access is off | Promote their role on the People page, or check Settings → Organization → Details |
| Multiple orgs, wrong one selected | Tenant switcher confusion | Have them switch tenants from the profile menu in the top-right |
Start with one teammate, not ten
Don't invite your whole org on day one. Invite one trusted person, walk them through the Home dashboard, and let them shadow you on a journey before expanding. It's faster than answering the same questions eight times.
