Connect your social accounts
Link Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to Scrollmark so your comments, DMs, and mentions start flowing in.
Scrollmark can't help you with conversations it can't see. Before anything else, connect at least one social platform. Most teams hook up all three in a single sitting.
Supported platforms
Comments, DMs, story replies, tag and caption mentions.
Page comments and Messenger conversations.
TikTok
Comments on posts from Business and Creator accounts.
LinkedIn and X connectors are gated behind feature flags and rolled out per-tenant — ping support if you need them turned on.
Where to connect
Every connector lives in the same place. In the left sidebar of the portal, click Accounts. You'll land on a page with one card per platform — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and TikTok Ads. Each card shows its current status and an Add Account button.
Connect Instagram
Open the Instagram card
Sidebar → Accounts → Instagram Accounts card → Add Account.
Log in through Facebook
Instagram's Graph API routes auth through Facebook, so you'll need to log in with the Facebook account that manages your Instagram Business or Creator profile.
Approve the permissions
Scrollmark asks for the minimum needed to read comments, DMs, mentions, and story replies. Keep every box checked — the integration won't work otherwise.
Pick which pages to sync
If the Facebook account you logged in with manages multiple Instagram pages, choose the one(s) you want Scrollmark to watch.
Personal Instagram accounts aren't supported
Instagram's API only exposes Business and Creator accounts. If you're on a personal account, switch in the Instagram app first — it's a 30-second, free change under Settings → Account type.
Connect Facebook
Open the Facebook card
Sidebar → Accounts → Facebook Accounts card → Add Account.
Authorize the Pages you manage
You'll see a list of every Facebook Page your account admins. Pick the ones you want Scrollmark to listen to.
Verify the Page shows connected
Back on the Accounts page, the Page should show a green status. If it doesn't, hit Reauthorize on the card.
Connect TikTok
Open the TikTok card
Sidebar → Accounts → Tiktok Accounts card → Add Account.
Log in to TikTok
Authorize Scrollmark on TikTok's OAuth screen. Both Business and Creator accounts work.
Wait for the first comments to sync
TikTok's API has a short delay on initial sync — give it a minute or two, then check the Inbox.
TikTok Ads is a separate connector
If you run paid TikTok campaigns and want comment data on ad creatives, also connect the Tiktok Ads Accounts card. It's a distinct OAuth flow and uses your TikTok Business Center login.
What happens once a connection is live
- Comments, DMs, mentions, and story replies start flowing into your Inbox within seconds.
- The Home dashboard's Activity Overview starts pulling views, likes, comments, shares, and saves for that account.
- Every journey you build can target that account as a source.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Card shows Reauthorize | Auth token expired | Click Reauthorize on the card and re-approve |
| "Authorization error" after redirect | Popup blocker or third-party cookies | Retry in a fresh tab with cookies allowed |
| Instagram connects but Inbox stays empty | Personal account, not Business | Switch account type in the Instagram app, then reconnect |
| Facebook Page missing from the list | Page admin permissions not granted | Update Page roles in Meta Business Suite, then retry |
Don't disconnect and reconnect lightly
Disconnecting an account and reconnecting it can lose historical data tied to the old connection. If an account just needs a token refresh, use Reauthorize — not remove-and-re-add.
What's next
You've got data flowing. Now get oriented on the Home dashboard so you know what you're looking at.
