UGC Posts
Every post, comment, and review that mentions your brand — searchable, filterable, and one click away from becoming your next post.
UGC Posts is the Scrollmark view of what people are saying about you on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Mentions, tags, comments, Facebook reviews — all of it in one masonry grid you can filter, sort, and save from.
Find it under UGC Posts in the left sidebar.
Why this page exists
UGC — user-generated content — is free, trusted, and endless. The trick is knowing what got said, who said it, and whether it's good enough to boost. UGC Posts is the tool that tells you.
Picking an account
The account bar at the top lets you flip between your connected Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts. The grid re-fetches for the selected account — filters and sort persist across accounts, so you can keep a view dialed in and just swap the source.
The filter row
Across the top of the grid you'll find:
- Post Type — All UGC, Post Mention, Comment Mention, and (Facebook only) Review.
- Media Type — images, videos, carousels, or all.
- Search — the search bar has three modes: Content (full-text across captions and comments), Username (exact handle), and Universal (image-based "find posts that look like this").
- Favorites toggle — show only posts you've saved.
- Followers range — min and max, for finding micro-influencers or big accounts.
- Posts Created — a date range, defaulting to "until now."
- Review Type (Facebook only) — Positive, Negative, etc.
- Has Tagged Products — Yes/No/Any. Useful for Shopify stores.
- Sort — by Created At or by Caption, ascending or descending.
Filters also push to the URL, so you can bookmark a saved search or share it with a teammate. A Clear all filters button puts everything back to defaults.
Finding UGC worth posting
Start wide
Pick the account. Leave Post Type on All UGC. Set Posts Created to the last 7 days.
Narrow with media type
If you're building a reel, filter to Videos. If you're making a carousel, filter to Images.
Use Universal search for a vibe
If you know the aesthetic you want, upload a reference image and flip search mode to Universal. The grid re-ranks by visual similarity.
Save the standouts
Hover a post and click Save Post. Saved posts show up under the Favorites toggle — this is how you build a shortlist without losing the original grid context.
Search for creators, not just content
Flip the search dropdown to Username and drop in a creator's handle. You'll get every post of theirs that mentioned you, ever. Useful for deciding who to gift next.
What you can do with a single UGC post
Click any card in the grid and the context menu offers:
- View Post — opens the original on Instagram / Facebook / TikTok.
- Go to Journey — if an automation journey picked this post up (e.g. a hashtag contest), this jumps you into that run.
- Save Post / Unsave Post — toggles the favorite flag.
For posts tagged with Shopify products, a small product count badge appears — click it to see the tagged items and edit the tagging.
Rights and reposting
Rights live off-platform
Scrollmark surfaces UGC, but it doesn't request rights for you. Before you repost a creator's content, DM them or use a journey that replies with a rights-request template. Keep a record of the "yes."
A common pattern teams use:
Save the post in UGC Posts
Hit Save Post. It goes into your favorites list.
Ask for rights in the Inbox
Open the Unified Inbox and DM the creator with your rights template.
Once you get a yes, pull the asset
Download or re-upload the media into Creative Library → My Media so it's in your pile for the Calendar.
Schedule with credit
In the compose flow, write the caption with a credit line tagging the creator.
Product-tagged UGC (Shopify)
If you've connected Shopify and a creator's post tags one of your products, the card shows a small product badge.
- Click the badge to see the products in the post.
- The Has Tagged Products filter lets you pull every post that mentions a product.
- This is the fastest path to finding real customer photos for PDPs or ad creative.
Pitfalls
| Pitfall | Fix |
|---|---|
| Grid looks empty | Check the Posts Created date range — it's easy to leave it on "Until Now" with a narrow window. |
| Can't find a mention you know exists | Switch search mode from Content to Username and search the creator's handle directly. |
| Universal search returns weird results | Upload a cleaner reference image with only the subject you want. |
| TikTok account selected but grid is empty | TikTok only supports Post Mentions and videos — Comment Mentions and Reviews don't exist on TikTok. |
| Duplicate posts across accounts | Each account has its own mention pool; a post tagged on both Instagram and Facebook shows up twice. |
