Creative Library
Store your media, generate AI-spliced clips from long videos, and pull in Canva designs — all in one place.
The Creative Library is where every asset you might post lives. Upload once, use everywhere: in the Content Calendar, in journeys, and in reels generation.
Find it under Creative Library in the left sidebar.
The three tabs
The left rail has three tabs. They look similar, but they serve different jobs.
| Tab | What's in it | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| My Media | Videos and images you uploaded | Your ground-truth asset pile |
| AI Clips | Short clips auto-spliced from your videos | When you want reels but only have long footage |
| My Canva | Designs pulled from a connected Canva account | When the design team works in Canva, not Scrollmark |
My Media
This is where everything you upload goes. Think of it as the raw material.
Click Add Media
Top-right of the My Media tab. Opens an upload modal.
Drop files or paste a link
You can drag-and-drop a batch, pick files from your computer, or paste a direct video URL.
Wait for processing
Large files get validated for dimensions and length before they land in the grid.
What you can upload
| Type | Formats | Max |
|---|---|---|
| Images | PNG, JPEG, JPG | 10 GB |
| Videos | MP4, MOV, AVI, 3GP | 10 GB, 600 min, up to 4K (3840×2160) |
| Audio | MP3, WAV, M4A | 10 GB |
Anything outside these gets rejected at upload with a clear error.
What you can do with a media item
Hover any tile in the grid to get the context menu:
- Generate AI Clips — kicks off video splicing (goes to the AI Clips tab when done).
- Delete — removes it from the library.
Media isn't tied to one post
A single upload can be used in as many scheduled posts as you want. Deleting it from the library doesn't touch posts that are already published.
AI Clips
This is the closest thing Scrollmark currently ships to automatic video chopping. Feed it a long-form video and it returns a list of short clips suitable for reels, TikToks, or shorts.
Start from a long video
Either click Generate AI Clips on the AI Clips tab (pick a source video from the modal), or hover a video in My Media and choose Generate AI Clips from the context menu.
Watch the Spliced Clips panel
The purple Spliced Clips button top-right shows a count of in-flight jobs. Click it to open a side panel with progress and any errors.
Publish the ones you like
Finished clips land in the AI Clips grid. From there you can drop them straight into a new post on the Calendar.
My Canva
If your design team lives in Canva, connect once and their designs show up here without leaving Scrollmark.
Connect Canva
First visit shows a connect screen. Click it and authorize Canva. Connection is per-workspace, not per-user.
Browse designs
The grid shows every Canva design in the connected account, sorted by last-updated.
Open a design
Clicking a card opens a pages modal so you can pick the specific page of a multi-page design to publish.
Canva is read-only in Scrollmark
You can browse and publish — you can't edit the Canva file from inside Scrollmark. Do the edits in Canva, hit save, and refresh the tab.
Where Creative Library shows up elsewhere
- When composing a post — the media picker in Calendar → New Post pulls from My Media and AI Clips.
- In reels generation — the Generate AI Clips button also exists in the compose flow for faster turnaround.
- In journeys — if a journey asks for an image reply, you can pull it from the library.
Pitfalls
| Pitfall | Fix |
|---|---|
| Upload rejected with no obvious reason | Check the max: 10 GB file, 600 min video, 4K resolution ceiling. |
| AI Clips never finishes | Open the Spliced Clips side panel — errors surface there, not in a toast. |
| Canva tab is empty after connecting | Make sure the Canva account has at least one design; the grid only shows designs that exist. |
| Clip looks fine in AI Clips but fails to post as a Reel | Instagram has its own reel spec — check the post status in the Calendar. |
