Every Scrollmark term, defined in plain language.
A short, plain-language definition for every concept that shows up in the Scrollmark UI. Organized A to Z. If a term links somewhere, that's where it lives in the docs.
A
Accounts — The page where you connect and manage Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and TikTok Ads accounts. Lives at Accounts in the left sidebar. See Connect your social accounts.
Action — A single step inside a journey. Examples: Send a direct message, Reply to a comment, Hide comment, React to a message, Apply tags to user, Add Loyalty Points.
AI Clips — Short clips automatically spliced from a long video. A tab inside the Creative Library.
Analytics — The reporting surface under Analytics in the sidebar. Sub-pages: Reporting Home, Journeys, Posts & Engagements, Social Attribution.
Archived — A conversation state in the inbox. Hidden from the default view but still searchable, and you still get notifications if a new message arrives. Hover a chat and press E to archive.
Attentive — SMS marketing integration. See the integrations directory.
Audience — Everyone who has ever interacted with one of your connected accounts. Lives at Audience in the sidebar. Includes people who commented, DM'd, mentioned you, or followed — not just followers.
B
Brand Safety — Org-level rules that govern when Scrollmark can reply on your behalf. Configured at Settings → Organization → Branding → Brand Safety. Includes story consent rules, comment restrictions, and cooldown timers.

Calendar — The content planner under Calendar in the sidebar. Schedule posts, reels, and stories across connected accounts from one month-view grid.
Campaign — A time-bound, audience-targeted message blast. Lives under Automation → Campaigns. Different from a journey, which runs evergreen.
Canva — Design integration. Connect once and your Canva designs appear in the Creative Library's My Canva tab.
Comment — A reply on one of your posts. Scrollmark ingests these from every connected platform and routes them into the Inbox.
Condition — A branching node inside a journey. Examples: User has tags, User follows me, Compare variables, Engagement time, Number of followers.
Connected account — A social account that's been linked to Scrollmark and is currently authorized. If the token expires, the account shows a Reconnect badge.
Content — The sidebar section containing UGC Posts, My Posts, and Creative Library.
Conversation — A single thread in the inbox. A conversation can contain DMs, comments, story replies, and mentions from the same user on the same account.
Conversation state — Tracked automatically by Scrollmark. Three states: Ready (waiting for a human), In Human Conversation (a teammate is actively replying), In Journey (an automation is handling it). Filterable from the inbox state pill.
Creative Library — Your shared asset store. Lives under Creative Library in the sidebar. Three tabs: My Media, AI Clips, My Canva.
D
Direct message — A DM sent to one of your connected accounts. Ingested into the inbox alongside comments and mentions.
Discount form — A mini-form inside the Shopify integration for creating discount codes that journeys can hand out.
E
Engagement type — The kind of interaction a user had with you: Comment, Story mention, Caption mention, DM, Story reply. Used as a filter in Audience and Inbox.
Escalate to a human — A journey action that hands the conversation off from an automation to a human teammate.
Export All — A button on the Audience page that downloads a CSV of every user matching your current filters.
F
Facebook — Supported platform. Connect Facebook Pages from Accounts → Facebook Accounts.
Filter by — The Audience page's filter modal. Stack filters across tags, loyalty points, follower count, opt-in, contact info, follow status, last interaction time, and engaged posts. See Audience segments.
Flow builder — The visual canvas where you edit journeys. Opens when you click any journey under Automation → Journeys.

Generate Reports — Lives under Analytics → Generate Reports. Creates Audience Insights and Competitor Analysis reports. Instagram-only today. See Generated reports.
Gorgias — Helpdesk integration for e-commerce support teams.
H
Hide comment — A journey action (and inbox action) that hides a comment from public view without deleting it. Instagram and Facebook only.
History — Also called Workflow History. The audit log of every journey execution, at /history. Filter by social network, journey, date, or status.
Hubspot — CRM integration. See the integrations directory.
I
Inbox — The queue for every comment, DM, mention, and story reply across every connected account. Most workspaces use the Unified Inbox at /unified-inbox; the classic per-platform Inbox still exists and hosts the Reviews approval tab.
Integration — An external service wired into Scrollmark. Lives under Settings → Integrations. See the full integrations directory.
Iterable — Cross-channel marketing integration.
J
Journey — A multi-step automation built in the visual flow builder. Triggered by an event, flows through actions and conditions. Lives under Automation → Journeys.
Journey template — A pre-built journey you can clone. Instagram ships with Keyword in Bio, Convert your Commenters, Collect Leads, Collect Leads (Complex), and Respond to Comments.

Keyword in Bio — A starter Instagram journey template. Watches DMs for a keyword you pick and sends an automatic reply. The fastest way to ship your first journey.
Klaviyo — Email marketing integration.
L
Loyalty Lion — Loyalty-program integration.
Loyalty points — A per-user score tracked by Scrollmark. Add points via journey actions; reward thresholds live inside Social Loyalty.
M
Mention — When a user tags your account in a post, caption, comment, or story.
My Canva — The Creative Library tab that displays designs from a connected Canva account.
My Media — The Creative Library tab where everything you upload goes. Supports PNG, JPEG, JPG, MP4, MOV, AVI, 3GP, MP3, WAV, M4A. Max 10 GB per file, 600 minutes for video, up to 4K.
My Posts — Your archive of posts that already went live, synced back from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter. Lives under Content → My Posts.
N
Notification Settings — The page where you configure email, SMS, and Slack alerts for events Scrollmark detects. Lives at Settings → Notification Settings.
O
Opt-in — Whether a user has consented to marketing contact (Facebook). Filterable in Audience.
Organization — A workspace in Scrollmark. One login can belong to many organizations; switch via the org dropdown in the sidebar.
P
Permission — A granular access right like view_analytics, manage_billing, or manage_workflow. Assigned via roles under Settings → Team.
Postscript — SMS marketing integration.
Priority — One of two tabs in the Unified Inbox (the other is All messages). Surfaces conversations flagged Very High, High, or Default. Notification level depends on the priority — Very High sends a text, High sends an email, Default sends an in-app notification.
R
Reconnect — The badge that appears when a connected account's auth token has expired. Click the badge to re-authorize. Single most common cause of "why isn't my journey running?".
Reel — A short-form video post. Supported in the Calendar publisher for Instagram and TikTok.
Reply to comment — A journey action that posts a public reply to a user's comment.
Reporting Home — The default Analytics dashboard. Surfaces views, likes, comments, shares, saves, profile visits, inbound DMs, new followers, average watch time, and leads captured.
Reviews — A tab inside the classic Instagram Inbox where journey-drafted replies wait for human approval before they go out. Instagram-only.
Reward — A perk you can give a user via Social Loyalty. Lives under Automation → Rewards.
Roles — The four built-in human roles: Owner, Author, Reader, Influencer. Owner is full control; Author is most-things minus billing/members; Reader is read-only; Influencer is scoped for creator collaborations.

Salesforce — CRM integration.
Scheduling — Calendar field with three options: Post Now, Custom Date and Time, and Best Time to Post (Recommended).
Settings — The org and personal settings pages. Reachable via the org avatar in the sidebar. Splits into Organization (workspace-wide) and Account (personal).
Shopify — E-commerce integration. Syncs customer and order data, powers discount codes, and exposes the Shopify catalog to journeys.
Slack — Notification channel. Configure under Settings → Notification Settings → Slack.
Snoozed — A conversation state that hides a thread for a chosen window (1 hour, 8 hours, 1 week, or always) and re-surfaces it on schedule. Set from the conversation menu.
Social Accounts — Same as Accounts. The sidebar item where you manage connected platforms.
Social Listening — Track posts that mention your topics or hashtags from accounts you don't own. Lives under Analytics → Social Listening. Topic and hashtag configuration is set up by Scrollmark support.
Social Loyalty — A points and rewards program built into Scrollmark. Lives under Automation → Social Loyalty.
SocialGPT — The in-product AI assistant. Toggle via the icon in the sidebar. It can read your data, draft replies, and run actions on your behalf.
T
Tag — A label you can apply to a user. Tags are the primary tool for segmenting audience and triggering journeys. Manage tags from Audience → Manage Tags.
Team — The page where you invite human teammates and assign roles. Lives at Settings → Team.
Templates — Pre-built journeys you can clone. See Journey template.
Tenant — The backend word for an organization. You'll see it in URLs and API payloads; the UI almost always says organization or workspace.
TikTok — Supported platform. Connect TikTok Business accounts from Accounts → Tiktok Accounts.
Time Delay — A journey action that pauses the flow for a set duration before continuing.
Trigger — The event that starts a journey. Examples: User comments on a post, User sends a message, User replies or reacts to a story, User mentions in a story, User tags me in a post, Webhook event received.
U
UGC — User-generated content. Posts from other people that feature you, your hashtag, or your account.
UGC Posts — The dashboard that surfaces UGC pulled in via hashtags, mentions, and tags. Lives under Content → UGC Posts.
Unified Inbox — The cross-platform inbox at /unified-inbox. Most teams live here. The classic per-platform Inbox still exists alongside it.
UTM tracking — URL parameters Scrollmark appends to outbound links so you can attribute social engagement to website behavior. Lives at Settings → UTM Tracking.
V
Variable — A named piece of data carried through a journey — a user's name, a discount code, a saved answer. Set with Set Variable and compared with Compare variables.
W
Webhook — An HTTP endpoint Scrollmark can call from a journey, or a URL you configure to receive events. Lives at Settings → Webhooks.
Webhook trigger — A journey trigger that fires when a specific webhook event arrives.
Welcome Journey — A dedicated journey that fires the first time a user interacts with your brand on a platform. Lives inside Social Loyalty → Welcome Journey, not in the main Journeys list, because it's tied to your loyalty program.
